About the Founder
Indranil Roy is the man behind PIP Broadcast, a Kolkata-based photography and wedding film company, highly recognized for its candid storytelling approach and the visual documentation of weddings in a cinematic style all over India.
A veteran in visual storytelling with an experience of over twenty years, Indranil first got a glimpse of Television technology when he started his career in 2003 as a Technical Head in the Telecasting Department of Channel Vision. This gave him a good understanding of broadcast technology which became the basis of his knowledge in video production and different aspects of visual media later on.
In 2006, he chose to study Photography, Cinematography, and Editing in a professional capacity at a well-known institute in Kolkata. Once he was formally trained, he was associated as a freelancer with some famous TV channels as well as production houses like Shaan TV, Colors Bangla, Zee Bangla, and RAP Production. he was able to develop good knowledge of television production as well as post-production and the craft of cinematic storytelling. He went on to have the role of an editor for the Bengali feature film “Achena Bandhutto.”Fueled with the desire of portraying genuine emotions and real moments, Indranil established PIP Broadcast in 2010. Since then this company has become a leading company in the field of wedding photography & wedding films, primarily dealing with candid photography & cinematic wedding storytelling.
Though their head office is in Kolkata, PIP Broadcast take clients from all over India. For many years, Indranil and his group have been present at the weddings of several different cultural communities like Bengali, Marwari, Punjabi, Muslim, Christian, Marathi, Bihari, and Gujarati weddings which has helped them a great deal in accurately portraying the rituals and emotions distinctive to each culture.
